Visita Iglesia 2011

Every Maundy Thursday, my husband's family follows a Lenten Tradition, Visita Iglesia (visiting 14 churches for every Stations of the Cross).  But ever since we had our first child, we narrowed it down to 7 churches, so seven stations for each church.  Kids aren’t too patient for that yet..  Anyways, we started at 3:00 PM, we just went around the Metro.  We just brought water for our trip.
Our first church Shrine of Our Lady of Grace in 11th Avenue, Caloocan City
Shrine Of Our Lady Of Grace

 Our second church,
Our third church, is Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary Parish in Ongpin St. Binondo, Manila.  I forgot to take pictures :(

Our fourth church, San Agustin Church - Immaculate Conception Parish Gen. Luna St. Intramuros, Manila. We went inside to pray until we saw the Stations of the Cross they made outside the church.  It was crowded but okay, everybody was walking towards the other church.  There were lots of people selling food and stuff, as always..
Our fifth church, Manila Cathedral, Cabildo cor. Beaterio sts. Intramuros, Manila
After that, we ate at Jollibee (the kids' favorite!) in  for our dinner.
Our sixth church,
And finally, our seventh church, Sto. Domingo Church, Quezon Avenue, Quezon City

We had a meaningful Maundy Thursday..  The kids get to explore the historic churches, it was a good break from all their Wii playing days..
Thank you Lord!
for our family, friends, and opportunities.. may You continue to shower us Blessings especially the ones who need it most..

Lenten Prayer
Almighty and Everlasting God,
You have given the human race
Jesus Christ our Savior as a model of humility.
He fulfilled Your Will by becoming Man
And giving His life on the Cross.
Help us to bear witness to You
By following His example of suffering
And make us worthy to share in His Resurrection.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son.

Amen.

Our Father...

MARY, Mother of Jesus,
you were Jesus’ gift for us from the Cross.
He gave you to us as our mother.
Intercede for all our needs.

Hail Mary...
Glory Be...

PRAYER FOR HOLY WEEK

Jesus my Lord, let me strengthen my courage by taking on the courage of all those people who have been "centurions" for me. Many have faced disasters and hard times with great constancy. The upper hand of evil never turned them against you. They kept going. Let me be like them, Lord. No matter what the cross, let me never stop declaring you to be "truly the Son of God, the source of my hope, the reason why I will never quit on life.

AMEN.

Love & Other Drugs

I know, I know.. I'm so late..  Just saw the movie last night, I was kinda' expecting a funny movie but it wasn't.. I wasn't even sure if I felt pity for Anne Hathaway's character for her sickness, 'cause she doesn't seem sick in the movie (she was still at stage 1).  The movie doesn't feel believable, I didn't even feel sad.. Or was I  staring too much at Jake Gyllenhaal?? *wink* *hotness*
But I liked the movie because of the characters, not much on the story.. It was too light for a love story.

Losing a Tooth

Kian lost his first tooth last Saturday, it's been wiggling for weeks and it just fell off last Saturday.  Maybe it was because of being matakaw? Ahihihi!  Recently, he wants to bite all his ulam, he doesn't want us to cut them..  We asked him if it hurts, he said no.  So, no worries! :)  I was wondering though, why it started wiggling, and I found this;

The average child gets his first baby tooth at age six months and then gets three to four new teeth every three to four months. This continues until the second molars erupt at about age two to two and a half years, at which time your child should have all twenty baby teeth.
If your child got his first tooth early or finished getting all of his baby teeth early, then he might start losing his baby teeth early too. On the other hand, if he didn't get his first tooth until age twelve or fifteen months, then he might be a little later than average in shedding or losing his first tooth.
Once he does start losing his teeth, the pattern will seem like a reverse of how these baby teeth came in. He should first lose the bottom two middle teeth, which are called the mandibular central incisors. Next, the top two middle teeth will fall out, followed by his canines, first molars, and then second molars. By age eleven to thirteen, the process should be complete and all of his baby teeth will be gone.

So, that's why.. Atleast I know we're on the right track!  Although Khloe doesn't a any tooth yet?? She's already 8 months old..  Oh well, we'll just wait.

Wii Resort

Proud of him!
We got Kian's card last week, he's still 1st Honor.  As a promise, we bought him Wii resort! Not that he actually needs a bribe to get him to school, just an extra to keep him going and not get bored of learning.  Wii is such a fun game, add the Wii resort and it'll be more exciting.. You'll get active!  It's also a good exercise and good for family bonding, never boring.  I'll take a video of the kids nga playing Wii.. They look so cute! Hehehe!

Camayan Beach Resort

Had a fun, fun weekend with the kids last Saturday at Camayan Beach Resort in Subic.  Our first vacation with Khloe who's 8 months old.  It was my first time on the beach of Subic too.  It was way better than Caylabne.  Even though we weren't able to get a cabana (we got there really late), we still managed to enjoy the place.  It was a good thing we had 2 CRV's so we had 2 tables, brought our own food to cook, and rented a grill (P150.00) and chairs (P25.00 each).
Since we didn’t have a place to sleep, hubby who will be driving us home the same day, got by just lying down on the sand..   He said it was surprisingly comfy!  (will try that next time!)
We stopped at Lakeshore to eat our baon breakfast.
Our stopover at Lakeshore

Lost his first tooth on our way to Subic..
The kids enjoyed it the most of course, with just digging and dipping in the water!
happy Andi!

Andi's super pose!
Khloe's happiness, eating!

At night, Camayan has a live band just beside their restaurant, I wasn't able to watch everything 'cause we were busy eating our baon!

the band just finished their set so they turned off the other lights. (i missed it!)
We left Camayan at around 9pm, we still have a party to attend to the next day.  Before going home, I insisted on a group picture! :)

 See you again soon Subic!!
