Halili-Cruz School of Ballet

After watching Andi's recital, I now have new respect for ballerinas.  With their astounding performance, you’ll never get bored watching them.  I love the way they add emotions through their face expressions, it made the dance more intense!   Their refined poise, the simultaneous steps, their tip toes and colorful costumes.
By the way, you don’t need to be thin to be a ballerina.  There are also big sized women in the recital and they are so good!  I don’t know they can jump and tip toe but they surely can!

The recitalists for The National Anthem.
Andi's Dance, Petit Polka

Aren't they cute?!  We weren't able to take pictures of this one girl (she's at the other side), it was really funny because she was trying to fix her ballet shoe throughout the dance!  It was a little sad for the parents that she didn't dance but we were entertained, everyone was clapping and laughing.
These are the other recitalists from different school branches and schools such as POVEDA and St. Mary's Q.C.

There were a lot more but we were in awe as we were watching so we forgot to take more pictures.
The ballerinas with the teachers Ms. Shirley Halili-Cruz, Ms. Grace Garalde-Perez and Ms. Anna Kathrina Cruz
My little girl was so happy and proud.

Seeing Andi's smile makes it all worth while..

"Celebration of Dance 2011"

Andi's Ballet Recital was moved to March 31 because the seats were all occupied, though lots of parents weren’t able to get one even though they paid for them already.  And we were one of them..  So they extended the recital for the other recitalists who didn’t get seats.
Oh Thank God!  I went to Halili at 8 in the morning to get in line for the seats, they didn’t give us numbers so I waited until the releasing time which is 1:30 pm!  Huhuhu!  That was a tiring day, waiting, I had no one to talk to, my phone wasn’t charged!  Oh well, it was worth it, we got the best seats in the house! J
We just had another problem though, who’s going to take care of Khloe???? We were required to have an official yaya to be with Andi in the dressing room as the room will be packed with kids and other yayas.  But I only have one yaya, and she’s Khloe’s yaya.. L  It’s a good thing my mom volunteered to be with Andi, she was supposed to watch Andi with us at the theater, Thanks ma!
Now we’re excited!!
Andi’s Dance is called “Petit Polka”.

Things to bring:
1. Costume
2. Bouquet
3. Tickets
4. Claim Stub (book)

My excited little girl!

We were asked to bring bouquet of flowers for the recitalists but there were two sisters who forgot to bring their flowers.. I felt really sad for them because they were the only ones who didn't bring flowers, they were just given a few from the other bouquets.. so sad..

Andi's Week-Long Rehearsal!

For about 2 weeks, we were at Halili-Cruz School of Ballet for Andi's rehearsals and pictorial.  I know, it was a tiring week but knowing Andi and her love for dance/ballet, it was worth it!
Andi enjoyed the whole week, seeing her friend and dancing ballet.  She’s excited everyday… Never gets tired of it.

The general rehearsal, teaching them how to take a bow.  Cute little girls!! :)

Their pictorial.

The costume, i love their costume!  It suits them pretty, little girls.  Even the kids loved it!  The parents were asked to stay outside..
