Argan Oil

Tryin' out the Argan oil from Snoe Beauty, I think they have the cheapest Argan oil for only P799.00.  They have lots of branches and an online store, bought mine at their Trinoma branch.

I'm excited to use it on my newly rebonded and colored hair, on my hands since I do all the laundry, and of course on my stretch marks! (hope it works!).  Since I turned 30, I've been adding anti-ageing treatments on my skin.  It's better to prevent them for coming too soon, right?

Eggplant Lasagna Recipe

My kids are not used to eating vegetables, so now, I'm looking for recipes that has sneaky veggies in them!  My kids didn't even notice there was an eggplant/vegetable in their pasta!♥

Eggplant Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients:
1 box lasagna noodles (500 grams)
cooked according to package directions

Bechamel sauce:
3/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
2 cans evaporated milk (1 can is equivalent to 225 ml or 1 cup)
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Eggplant meat sauce:
3/4 kilo ground beef
1 cup chopped eggplant
1/4 cup cooking oil
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1 onion, chopped
6 tablespoon white wine (optional)
1 piece bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning (herbs)
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 cans tomato paste (150 grams each)
dissolve in 1 cup water with 1 beef cube
1 bar quickmelt cheese to add in between layers and for topping

Procedure:
Cook the Bechamel Sauce
1. Melt butter in a pan.
2. Blend in flour until bubbly.
3. Gradually stir in evaporated milk.
4. Cook until bubbly and a bit thick.
make sure not to burn the milk by lowering the flame.
5. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
6. Set aside.

Cook the eggplant meat sauce
1. Saute onion in oil until translucent, add in the garlic and cook for a while but do not brown.
2. Put in the ground beef, white wine and chopped eggplant.  Cook until the beef changes color and eggplant is very soft.  Add the Italian seasoning and bay leaf.
3. Pour in the beef broth (1 cup) and tomato paste mixture.
4. Simmer gently until thick.  Season with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Set aside.

To assemble:
1. Grease a rectangular dish (around 10x7 inches) with butter.
2. pour 1/3 of bechamel sauce.
3. Arrange a layer of pasta.  Spoon in tomato meat sauce and sprinkle with cheese.
4. Repeat number 3.  End with bechamel sauce on top of the layer.
5. Sprinkle with Quickmelt cheese.
6. Bake in pre-heated oven at 350 F until golden brown.

7. Let stand 5-10 minutes to set.

Coming Home to Mandaue Foam

We've been looking for a perfect bed for our kids, we excluded the double deck bed because we were too scared that they might accidentally fall off the bed.  Then i saw the Mandaue Foam store in a magazine, they're just located at Quezon Avenue so we just had to check them out.
Then, we saw this bed!  Perfect!

It's the Galvin single bed with pull out bed, priced at P13,000!  I immediately asked the saleslady for a new stock!  Lucky me, they were still on sale, they slashed 10% off the price! :)
Love it!!

We've made our top 3 choices to buy when we go back there.  Our eyes are on the V-60E Circular Tier Center table, priced at P10,000 for our living room.

and the Tee Back Dining Chairs, priced at P3,900, elegant looking comfy dining chairs.

And their 573 Square Table and 477 Chair Dining Set 4+1 with seat cushion, priced at P15,000, these will look lovely on our veranda.

But I don't think we'll ever stop there, 'cause they have almost everything you need for your home, even beds, pillows, vases and more.  In Mandaue Foam, it's your home, your imagination.

Finally!  We used our Lazy breakfast vouchers at Vikings bought from DealGrocer!  Breakfast buffet for only P470 (P722 originally).  Before they actually expires in a week!  Good thing, dealgrocer reminded me through email.  My reward for losing weight in 2 months!

Hubby bought a yellow, 1981 Starlet!  Cool..  It's soo old but it still looked good..  But hubby wants to make it look better, so he's fixing EVERYTHING! :)

Beauty and Butter - SM San Lazaro

It's been soooo long since my last foot spa and pedicure, so I asked hubby for one and because I wanted to try Beauty and Butter at SM City San Lazaro.  I just saw them on Facebook and I got curious of their store set up, with its bold colors and wide array of services offered.

I have very dry feet so they insisted I also get their paraffin treatment to moisturize them.  They were also selling different kinds of lotions to us, they were really persistent in selling their items that we were getting annoyed.  It's okay to sell to your clients but I think they should know when to stop.  I think we said next time na lang siguro, a couple of times but they'll still insist.  So, I availed their paraffin treatment for my dying, err..  dry feet!  :)

They said the I should get this treatment more often..  But kept on insisting to buy their lotion..  haaay..  And when we were paying na, we got billed for the lotion that I thought we should try (was talking to hubby then)..  Gulat kami because we didn't agreed on buying it right away, we were still talking about it..  So, we just cancelled it, we're kind of annoyed that they charged us agad, didn't even bother to confirm or even give us a heads up..   After that, all of the staff stared at us when they heared we cancelled the order.. tsk, tsk!
Anyway, they were professional naman in cleaning our toe nails and our feet are softer.. =)
