Visita Iglesia 2011

Every Maundy Thursday, my husband's family follows a Lenten Tradition, Visita Iglesia (visiting 14 churches for every Stations of the Cross).  But ever since we had our first child, we narrowed it down to 7 churches, so seven stations for each church.  Kids aren’t too patient for that yet..  Anyways, we started at 3:00 PM, we just went around the Metro.  We just brought water for our trip.
Our first church Shrine of Our Lady of Grace in 11th Avenue, Caloocan City
Shrine Of Our Lady Of Grace

 Our second church,
Our third church, is Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary Parish in Ongpin St. Binondo, Manila.  I forgot to take pictures :(

Our fourth church, San Agustin Church - Immaculate Conception Parish Gen. Luna St. Intramuros, Manila. We went inside to pray until we saw the Stations of the Cross they made outside the church.  It was crowded but okay, everybody was walking towards the other church.  There were lots of people selling food and stuff, as always..
Our fifth church, Manila Cathedral, Cabildo cor. Beaterio sts. Intramuros, Manila
After that, we ate at Jollibee (the kids' favorite!) in  for our dinner.
Our sixth church,
And finally, our seventh church, Sto. Domingo Church, Quezon Avenue, Quezon City

We had a meaningful Maundy Thursday..  The kids get to explore the historic churches, it was a good break from all their Wii playing days..
Thank you Lord!
for our family, friends, and opportunities.. may You continue to shower us Blessings especially the ones who need it most..

Lenten Prayer
Almighty and Everlasting God,
You have given the human race
Jesus Christ our Savior as a model of humility.
He fulfilled Your Will by becoming Man
And giving His life on the Cross.
Help us to bear witness to You
By following His example of suffering
And make us worthy to share in His Resurrection.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son.

Amen.

Our Father...

MARY, Mother of Jesus,
you were Jesus’ gift for us from the Cross.
He gave you to us as our mother.
Intercede for all our needs.

Hail Mary...
Glory Be...
