Baked Beef Lasagna

I made baked beef lasagna, this is my first time to make lasagna.  It was a success!  It was yummy and creamy..
To make beef lasagna, you'll need;
(for the meat tomato sauce)
2 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic
2 pcs small onion, diced
500 grams ground beef
2 tbsp tomato paste
2 cups tomato sauce
Salt and pepper to taste

for bechamel sauce;
2 cups fresh milk
1/2 head onion, chopped
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour

2 cups quick-melt cheese
1 cup grated parmesan cheese

*for the pasta, I just used 9 pcs of pasta.  (cook the lasagna as per box directions)

Procedure:
(for bechamel sauce)
  • Warm fresh milk with half head of onion and set aside.
  • In a small sauce pot, cook butter and flour until you form a white paste.
  • Add in fresh milk, season with salt and pepper and continue cooking until mixture is nice and thick.
(for meat tomato sauce)
  • In a medium sauce pot, heat olive oil.
  • Add in half of the onions and 3 cloves garlic and saute.
  • Add in ground beef and saute until it changes color.  (I added 1 beef cube)
  • Add in tomato paste, and continue cooking for about a minute.
  • Add in tomato sauce, season with salt and pepper and continue cooking until sauce is nice and thick.
  • Set aside.
Preheat oven to 350 F. Assemble lasagna by alternating layers of lasagna, meat sauce and bechamel sauce and some quick-melt cheese.  Sprinkle top with grated quick-melt cheese and parmesan cheese.  Bake for 45 minutes or until cheese is melted.
I'll try making it with eggplant or spinach next time.
